Earth and it's Resources

Our planet Earth has many things in it. Resources are things that we use.
Natural resources come from Earth.

Many of our natural resources are limited. This means that they will not last forever. Some resources are renewable. This means the resource can be replaced or grown. You can plant a new tree when you cut one down.

Other resources are not renewable. This means that they cannot be replaced or grown. You can dig coal out of the ground. Once the coal is used, it is gone.

A capital resource is something that helps make other resources.

Resources Video

Let's Practice

1. Grab a sheet of paper and draw the paper below.  Draw the picture in the correct rectangles.  If the picture is a human-made resource you would draw it in the human made resources box.
 2. On the same paper write about how you use each of the three resources.  Why are they important to you and your family?
